The biking and walking lanes enable buinesses open up their doors to new customers from different neighborhoods. Check out our list of great local places below! Mid-City is also famous for its cemeteries. Clustered at the intersection of Canal Street and City Park Avenue, they are some of the oldest in New Orleans. They feature historic and dramatic architecture and give the visitor a unique glimpse into the past. Before 1913, Mid-City referred to as the “backatown” due to the fact that it was made up on swampland; pumping technology had not made this below-sea level area habitable. Had a great 3-day stay. The location is excellent - stone's throw from a Winn Dixie, and walking distance from several good restaurants. The house is in a quiet neighborhood. Although there is only space for one car in the driveway, it was never a problem as there is plenty of street parking available. Would definitely stay here again!

I have so many things I could say, but to sum it up we had a fantastic time! This home is huge! So much space for our family. The back porch is such a fun place to relax and watch the hustle and bustle of Carrollton Ave. right on the parade route! Restaurants and grocery stores all walking distance. Street car line to take you almost anywhere in the city. The upstairs is all brand new and so comfy! Host was very kind, responsive, and accommodating. Would absolutely recommend. Can’t wait to stay again!

The home description matched what we got. It was easy to get food with the grocery store right across the street. There were plenty of towels and overall clean home. We enjoyed our stay and the host was very responsive.
